Okuma

To celebrate our two year anniversary, we took a trip to the north end of Okinawa, about a 2 hour drive from our house. The drive up is gorgeous, right along the coast and the bluest water I've ever seen. We traveled to a place called Okuma, which is the military's version of a resort. What we found was more of a beach side campground than resort per say, but nonetheless a nice time.

The beach was very pretty, especially at sunset, but the water was a little too cloudy on this beach for my liking! I didn't swim much but Corey enjoyed cooling off. Luckily the next day we discovered there was another beach on the other side of the peninsula, and the water was crystal clear.

Our Cabin we stayed in was one room with a bed and fridge, but most importantly it had air conditioning! A step up from camping in a tent, complete with hotdogs and s'mores on the fire.

The site had a 9 hole par 3 golf course that Corey was excited to play on. I, on the other hand, gave up after hole 7! But watching him play alone was still fun.
Some people had camped in tents close to the beach; I bet they were hot!!!

We were able to go sea kayaking, swim, jet ski, golf, and hike. There are some great opportunities for water sports and snorkeling here, I think we may come back before the summer is over.
